How We Find the Best Nannies

Our nanny placement process

Hiring the right nanny for your Los Angeles or OC family is one of the most important decisions you can make as a parent. We value your trust and take pride in our highly personalized nanny screening process.

Our team reviews each nanny’s online application, which contains a cover letter, resumé and profile photo. Then we rigorously screen potential candidates, ensuring each nanny you meet through our agency has undergone a thorough and extensive review.

Our nanny screening process includes:

  • Social media check
  • Detailed interview
  • Speaking to three references
  • Verified past employment
  • Verified CPR and First-Aid Certification
  • Verified TrustLine certification (background check) which is required by the State of California

In order to do our due diligence, nanny placements can take 4-8 weeks.

We promise, it’s well worth the wait.

What we require

Currently, we are exclusively working with full-time placements. Current rates for professional nannies are between $30–$40+ per hour. Nannies are paid 52 weeks per year. If your nanny is available to work but you do not require their services, they should still be paid their normal wages.

You must be willing to pay your nanny legally.
You must offer typical nanny standard benefits— guaranteed hours, paid vacation, paid holidays, sick days, and mileage reimbursement.

(We will provide resources for sample nanny agreements that includes this information.)

Benefits we expect our full-time families to offer:

• 2-4 Weeks Paid Vacation
• 8-10 Paid Holidays
• 5 Paid Sick Days (CA Law)
• Health Insurance Stipend (Optional)
• Mileage Reimbursement (While on the job)

Nanny taxes & payroll:

We require our nannies to be legally employed, submit a W2, and be paid on payroll. We handle this for you using GTM and HomeWork Solutions. Nannies are professionals, and we treat their employment with respect and do all our work legally.

Need a sitter instead?
We support nannies receiving fair pay and will guide you through industry standards.

We partner with the two most reputable domestic payroll companies. Learn about them by clicking below.
